My Vacation For The Emergency Room - 864 Words

Growing up, I would have a vacation with my mom, and a vacation with my dad every summer. This was one of the few perks that came with being from a broken family. With my mom we would travel to different states and experience new things, and with my dad we would go camping and do outdoor activities. Unfortunately, one particular vacation granted me a one way ticket to the emergency room. From that experience, I learned to be careful and not fall into peer pressure. One hot, June afternoon when I was 13 years old, I was sitting in the living room at my dad’s house while everyone else was outside. Instead of going camping this year, my dad decided that we would go floating down the river, and do other fun activities without leaving home for a whole week. My sister, Madi, had her boyfriend over riding the blue four wheeler with the clutch, and my brother, Kannon, was riding his red dirt bike. It was nice having the house to myself, but eventually got boring. As my boredom grew, I decided to go outside and ride our automatic yellow four wheeler. However as I was walking up to the four wheeler, Kannon mounts the vehicle and takes off; I am instantly furious. I go to my step-mother, Jenny, to complain, and she is on my side completely, but Kannon would not listen to her. So we go talk to the higher authority, dad.
